2004 Christmas Kindness Contest

Giving Globally announces the 2004 Christmas Kindness contest. Help us collect food, clothes, toys &/or cash for the Portland Rescue Mission, Union Gospel Mission and Birch Community Service and win great prizes while you bring hope and happiness to families in need.

To Sign Up Simply:

  1. CLICK HERE to register as a Team Champion.
  2. Collect donations by simply emailing others or printing our fliers and sharing them with coworkers, customers, family and friends.
  3. Drop off your donations at one of our Drop Sites Friday, December 17th by 5:00 PM or at Pioneer Courthouse Square on Saturday December 18th between 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Contest winners will be announced at the 2004 Christmas Kindness Awards Celebration from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 18th at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland, Oregon. Come join us as we celebrate these great organizations and award fantastic prizes to our Greatest Givers.

Help us spread Christmas Kindness by creating your own Team of Champions and collecting donations from friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. This is a great way to help others experience the joy of giving to those in need.

Grand Prize – 7-night vacation in Mexico

The Team Champion who earns the most points will win a 7-night vacation for two to beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Enjoy the sun, fun and relaxation of seven glorious days away from it all.

Others will win one of thousands of other great prizes and gift certificates.

Non-Perishable Food (canned or boxed) 10 points per item
Used Clothing 25 points per item

New Clothing 100 points per item
New Toy (unwrapped) 100 points per item


SPECIAL BONUS POINTS: You will also earn a bonus equal to 25% of the total points received by each and every Champion you inspire.

All donations received will be sorted and given to the Portland Rescue Mission, Union Gospel Mission and Birch Community Service to provide hope for the hungry, homeless and hurting.

To win points for donations, simply print and complete a donation form and drop it off with your donations at one of our numerous drop off sites. All donations must be dropped off by 5:00 PM December 17th to be included in the contest. Each $1 raised, helps deliver over $8 of food for Oregon families.

Help people overseas. Become a member of Giving Globally and your $10 monthly gift will help deliver over $210 in humanitarian aid to the neediest people around the world.
